Tires with Budget Boost

if your jeep has a budget boost with 15 inch rims, what's the biggest tire you can get? mine has 31's on it now and plenty of room. can i go much bigger?

I've seen some people run up to 33's like InfernoGirl but I don't know first hand if i would recommend it.

You can run bigger tires. If you don't take it offroad, you'll probably be fine with 32's or even 33's. Things to consider when doing this are gearing, where you will be driving, bump stop extensions, etc... You will have some rub when steering full left and right. There are ways to adjust this as well, but it will effect your turning radius.

Do some reading and searching on here and you will figure it out.

It depends. How much flex do you want to accommodate? A typical 2" budget boost will let you flex the dickens out of 31" tires... but that's about it.

So: how crazy do you want to be?

Exactly. You van still go off road fine, if you aren't looking for crazy flex. If you trim the flares you have a bit more room too.

Here is another problem (IMHO) with putting tires WIDER then 10.5" on your Jeep w/o spacers... You're going to rub not only when you turn but also on your rear spring perches. I have the 31x10.5x15 on my stock 15's and it is CLOSE in the ass end. You'd have to go with spacers or a different offset rim if you're going with wider tires.

I believe MOST tire companies go with 31x10.5, 32x11.5, 33x12.5. However I have heard of some people using 32 x 10.5's but not 33x10.5.

Confused yet???? LOL

This is in addition to taking a look at re-gearing issues etc etc etc.

Yeah, you can't go wider than 10.5 on stock wheels.

go u guys feel its a must to re-gear with 32"s? I have 31s right now and the jeep feels great. Though i have never been in a stock jeep. Im unsure of my gearing, there is no tab on my diff cover in the rear.

Maybe there is one in the front?
id assume its stock gearing

Without spacers you will eat your tires. Stock wheels have too much bs for anything wider than 10.5". If you put spacers on then you're fine.

the biggest tire you can fit with a Budget Boost alone is 31x10.50R15.

to add bigger tires you need more lift and/or more bumpstop extension.

To fit 33s with the budget boost you'll need to add a 1" Body lift, 1-2" front bumpstop extension and 2" rear bumpstop extension.

So you must have extended the lug studs to use 2" spacers, right?

the reason you can't go wider than 10.5" on stock backspacing is due to the rear spring perch rubbing:

Yes I spaced every tire out with 2inch spacers and I'm running a budget 2in lift and running 32's. But I'm looking at tires again. Because the ones I like come in 33 or 31. So idk wat I'm goiing to do I like 32 but I like flexing

I'm running 33x10.5's with a 2" bb and no body lift. I'm not sure what the backspacing is on the rims, but I have no wheel spacers and no tire rub.

Here is mine with 31/10.5/15's

I don't know for a huge fact that it's been lifted. Some told me they were pretty sure that it was.

Doesn't look lifted to me. Have you looked at the tops of the springs for pucks or measured the springs?
