Well that's not entirely true.. My alignment is waaay jacked up now. The elderly (i use that lightly. ) gentleman claims he did not see me before turning into my lane.
Nope. Just an ever so slight scuff to the flare. My steering wheel is off by almost 1/4 turn though and I'm getting a really bad clicking sound from underneath that sounds like a flexplate. The impact rocked me pretty hard. It's getting picked up and taken to a shop on monday
I'm just glad I didn't broadside him. I've tested that stinger on an old 3 series and I would feel awful if I put that through his door and ended his life 3 months prematurely.
It's a smittybilt stinger it would have just folded up like a tin can. (Sarcasm) lol glad to see your ok. Everyone seems to think they are crap lol I have the same bumper
The smittybilt double tube bumpers are crap I will give that to the smittyhaters. I dented one with a screwdriver handle. My stinger has served as a winch point a few times and like I said been put into a BMW with minimal damage to even the powder coat. I'm a big fan.
What no Doughnuts on the white truck? You did'nt try hard enough!
Glad everyones okay!
Few weeks ago I was driving thru the parking lot at Publix and a "Elderly" lady backed out between my front and rear tires. I removed the entire rear bumper cover off her 3 month old Toyota Corolla. Afterwards she said she never saw me and continued backing up after I drove over her untill her bumper cover wedged under her car and stopped her. 82 years old and just got her Florida drivers license renewed, Scary huh.

Maybe someone can help me out because my insurance office is closed and I rarely get to use my phone during their open hours. The other driver was at fault. We have the same insurance company but I got an email from the body shop with an estimate for some other damages I'm paying out of pocket "in addition to the deductible". That's where I'm confused. It was always my understanding that the other persons policy covers damages if deemed at fault. Am I jumping the gun on panic?
Unless his insurance coverage wont cover all of your damages. I had the same issue before with my old truck. Thats when "under-insured" coverage on you're policy should come into play. If you have that. But how much is the damage costing? It couldn't be that much and his insurance should be covering that. I would check more into that...
I am just curious. what all did the body shop say was broken?
Whew, okay they waived the ded this morning. Which is a good thing because the hood needed completely replaced which bumped my personal repair bill up another $300 some dollars. The only thing wrong with the front end was the track bar bent a little.
Heres the end result after the fender was fixed and factory hood scrapped in favor of a new one. The bondo in the old hood was 1/8" deep and cracked. It was done by Abra auto body in Sandy and I couldnt be happier.
