TJ center console value

I just pulled my center console out and put in a Tuffy, anyone sold you factory console? What did you get for it. I need to decide a fair price before I decide to list it for sale. Has the sub in it.

I saw some advertized a while back on Ebay for 100-125 without subs. might do some comparing there or craigslist.

I'd say it's only worth $10-15.

Uh, did I mention I was looking for one if it's gray or black?

I sold mine last month for 25 bucks. I had just bought a stock intake box from another guy for 25 bucks though, so it seemed like the price was right. Do unto others and all that.

Question im interested....sorta

is the sub enclosure separate from the console itself?

i am planning to buy the tuffy console with the sub enclosure but i don't have the factory sub set up. the installation diagram is kind of unclear. it appears as if i have to slip the tuffy console over the existing sub enclosure. which means i would have to construct a sub box for the inside.

If you buy the tuffy for the sub, you simply mount the sub to the floor (where it is stock) with a new mounting bracket for the console to bolt to.

So, if you get the sub ready box and buy a sub, you'll be good to go.

i dont have a stock sub....

well that is my problem, i don't have the stock sub enclosure or mounts or whatever attaches it to the floor, and whatever that's mounted to. i was hoping to just buy the console and be able to set it up with a sub and an amp....but im clearly not getting something here.....Ive been searching for pictures of all this stuff for a while without luck.

sorry

I'll post a pic of the stock sub tonight when I get home. Essentially tho, it's not as much a sub as a 9" low range speaker in a self contained enclosure.

I haven't seen a good way to fit a real sub into the factory space within the center console.

So, plan on getting a regular center console (and doing your own sub, or not) or getting the console for the factory sub and buying one (they are expensive for what they are).

my plan

i was planning on buying a good quality 8 inch sub and a small but good quality amp to drive it.

im not against fabricating something.

but i need the security console.... and I am trying to figure out how to incorporate a sub into the tuffy console. the reason i haven't bought the console yet is because i don't know if i should go with the one made for the factory sub, or the one without.

basically just trying to figure out what to order and such.

Contact daveysjeep.com for a sub enclosure. I am sure they have used ones...

This is a picture of the stock sub. Oh, and I lied earlier. It's a 7" speaker.

I went ahead and listed it on my local craigslist for 100.00 or 150 shipped, shouldn't cost more than 50 bucks to ship. I miss the sub. a link on another site has some recommendations, maybe I'll check them out. I want it and the amp as small as possible but able to provide a little thump. I'm not a lod music guy but I like what I have to sound good. Blew my middle console sub today.. - Jeepz.com
