TJ cruise control question

Any models ever come with the cruise control stalk on the column, instead of the buttons on the steering wheel? If not, does anyone know of any solution to using a stalk with the factory cruise setup?

I'm going to convert the cruise buttons that are currently on the wheel to control the stereo, but I don't want to lose cruise all together. Any help is appreciated!

TJ cruise control works off different resistances seen by the computer when the buttons are pressed. If you're not going to emulate those resistances with your new switch your cruise control won't work.

Thanks for the input, guys. I've been able to find aftermarket column-mounted stalks, but most are 4 wire. I need a 2 wire one to work with the factory cruise. I'll keep searching!

Maybe you could come up with a way to mount the factory cc switches on the dash somewhere.

That's most likely the route I will take, even though I really don't want to do it that way. They'll probably fit pretty nicely on either side of the radio, or maybe somewhere on the center console.

I purchased a cruise control unit online. cost me 214. and some change. IT is spose to go on the column somewhere. My question is,, where is the factory one located/? Just was wondering if there's a difference in the after mkt one I purchased (which looks like a turn signal dealiewhopper) and the factory one aand how it's situated...

thanks in advance...
