Those of you that have installed the blue LEDs in the instrument cluster, is the odometer color changed as well? If not, does the odometer stick out like a sore thumb? Thanks in advance for helping a noob. Wanted a jeep since I was a kid, and just got my TJ about 4 months ago.

Also, there seem to be conflicting responses regarding the model number to use for the HVAC / defrost / wiper / fog lights. Some have said to use the NEO bulb, others have said to use the same bulb as the instrument cluster. Could someone please clarify this for me?

Gotta say, I'm impressed with this forum so far. There seem to be a lot of helpful people on here that are more interested in their Jeeps and helping fellow Jeepers than inflating their egos at the expense of others. That's a rare thing these days.

Thanks to all for sharing this and other ideas! My Jeep wish list has gotten off to a nice start and is only continuing to grow!

That is correct. But you gotta watch what LED you order because the bulb has to slide into a little plastic sleeve. I'd suggest pulling your original shifter bulb then using that as a size reference when you order a new one

The neo bulb if you have s 99-up for the hvac with knobs and rocker switches
And no the odometer still lights up green, it actually kind of disappears

Here's my receipt, I've got a 99 and did blue lights

I just did an LED upgrade in my YJ from superbrightleds.com... if anyone is looking to order here is a 5% Discount code I saw in an ad for "return customers" after I placed the order: RE832

I changed mine but ran into a problem. One, the high beam can not be changed. I put in a bright white but it is now bright blue instead of stock dull blue. 2nd, the rest of the instrument panel has a slight green color over everything. So it looks bluish green unless I crank up the brightness. I tried taking the entire panel apart but was not ready for breaking it. It still looks better than stock.

Anyone know what LED to use for the dome light on a 1997 TJ? Their part finder is confusing because it lists 3 different bulb varieties for the "Step/Courtesy Light".

I'd guess that it would be the same as my 04 which takes a 211-2 incandescent bulb. The LEDs I ordered for my sound pods were 44mm LEDs. They have a chart on their website that has a list of their LED bulb numbers and what size type/size of incandescent bulb it replaces.

I've read the entire post and will be placing an order soon, but I've noticed that some blue installs the actual "needle" is turned blue and other installs you can barely see the needle? do you have to buy the NEO4-BHP which are the brighter ones to show the needles?
like DamageInc on pg 9. I like yours

Really easy. Took maybe 30 min. Hardest part was putting them in and testing them, then flipping the ones that didn't light up and try again.

Yep those will work on your gauge as well. Our gauge clusters are the exact same so the same bulbs will fit yours

Can someone who is installing the LEDs measure how deep the hole is? I have 12 of these:

And wanted to see if it fixes the "hot spots" or the dimmer parts. If not I can try:

and keep my fingers crossed.

Just installed mine. Probably the hardest thing was ordering. That was seriously the easiest thing. Just make sure you don't have to change them around before you put it back together. I had to switch 2.

Has anyone done the O/D Off switch for an automatic? Not the amber part that lights up, but the light used for illuminating the letters.
