I received my LED lights today, needless to say the shipping was fast. Installation was easy. I removed 22 screws, opened everything up and got the lights done in about an hour and a half I also painted and cleaned the some of the trim pieces in that time. The dash lights do dim, three different brightness but there isn't much variance between them. The dash lights also turned out kind of purple and don't match the auto shifter and HVAC. Its still a good improvement over the stock lights though. My jeep dome light wasn't a festoon it was a wedge light so I put the WLED-X5 in the dome(it DID NOT fit the auto shifter light socket it was to wide to fit in the housing). WLEDxHP4T2-AC worked in the shifter though. I don't like the blue dome light its not bright enough so i'll replace it with a cool white light.

I'll take some better pictures soon because these suck, lol

For the auto shifter light. If you take a cut off wheel you can notch it perfectly for the bulb. That's what I did

Good to know. It looked like I could have got it to fit with some work, but I had WLEDxHP4T2-AC which fit without cutting

Oh also when putting the bezel back around your gauges, lower the steering wheel!! I fought with that little piece of rubber for about 10 min before I realized that.
i wanna do this to my dash. with the green LED's exaclty like yours! if you still have the reciept or invoice, can you please tell me exactly which bulbs you ordered?

btw: my jeep is a 97 tj se if that matters

thanks a lot!

You will need 7 of the 74-x, 74-xhp or 74-xhp3 bulbs (5 for the cluster and 2 for the hvac slider controls.

I used the 74-xhp bulbs in mine and its plenty bright.

Mine is a 2001, but I would assume the auto shift light didn't change. Part # WLEDxHP4T2-AC from superbrightled.com

NEO-HP work just fine in the knob style HVACs, got my red dash and cool white HVAC control done last night along with a cool white high beam indicator, no way I forget those are on again.

Just purchased the green. Got the Neo-x and the Neo=xhp just in case they do work. Heres the invoice for people who are still confused.

I need help guys I purchased the blue lights fron superbrightled.com. I installed them and they worked had to switch a couple due to polarity. Then I found out I had the wrong bulbs for the hvac controls. No big deal on that I just ordered the right ones. After the install I took a ride and on the way back it aw getting dark so I turned on my headlights and nothing no blue glow although all other lights worked. Any ideas.

03+ have orange needles which turn dull purple with blue light. 97-02 have white needles and illuminate blue. I don't have any pictures but you can change the orange to white. The color is on the back side. I pulled the needles off and scraped the orange off with a razor then painted it white. I painted the center button all black where the orange needle continues. Mine glow bright blue now. Putting the needles back is not a bigh deal. With the engine running, take a picture of where the needles were at, then put them back in the same spot (of course you have to have the water temp the same). The speedo, I had to put back wile driving against a GPS.

I have not read this thread and what LEDs people are buying here but you want the multi high power LEDs for bright even light.

Not quite clear here. Did the HVAC work before you went ot or not? The polarity may be wrong still. (you don't have to wait till dark to see if they are working.)
