I just need to decide on a color. My radio face buttons are blue, but I want to do all the lighting and I don't know if blue lighting would go as good with the black exterior as red possibly. Any thoughts?

I think blue would look great! I combined black and blue when I repainted my Ramsey winch and it looks great together.

I have some red shock boots, sway bar bushings, etc so I decided to go with red. I actually ordered mine yesterday. Can't wait for them to get here.

Alright man lemme know how the red/black combo turns out! I'm just stuck on it cause I think the floor lighting would look pretty sick in red, but I don't know yet haha.

I am a little afraid of doin the interior lighting with coloured LEDs. Not too sure I would like the look so I am keeping the floor and overhead lights white and only changing the Dash, HVAC and automatic shifter to red.

I ordered the High Power ones in all cases. From the lumens specs they look to be about twice as bright as the regular ones.

I say go color on all and just keep a good flashlight in the console in case it's needed.

Question: how long did this project take you guys from beginning to end? Also how long did each section take you? Trying to figure out when I can do this given my wonderful division of time between my bitches! (Wife, daughter and female dog!)

How much project do you want to do? Just changing the instrument lights and not the HVAC or cabin lights took me about 45 minutes to an hour, tops, and I'm slow.

Take out 2 screws in the lower dash panel under the steering wheel and unsnap it from its top edge. Snap off the cover for the defroster vents. Take out the 3 angled screws under that (stubby screwdiver because of the windshield) that hold the instrument cluster bezel at the top, and I think 2 at the bottom sides. Pull that off. Then there are a couple/few screws that hold the instrument cluster on. Pull that out a little and push in the locking tabs and disconnect the 2 wiring harness connectors to it and its out.
Earlier in this thread is a picture of the back of the cluster showing the bulb locations you want to change for the dash lights. They twist CCW and come out. All work is done from the back of it.
When you put in the LEDs, hook up the wiring connectors and see that they all light up before you re-install it. Flip the ones that don't light, if any, to get the polarity right.
Be gentle on he wiring connectors, and feed the harnesses back into their holes as you put the instrument cluster back in.

I did it within 30 min, and had an extra 30 min to take a nap while my daughters slept. Yes you can

I love having having kids but it's tough to get personal stuff done.

Another question, for the color in the foot wells is it an additional light bar placed in there, or is it just a replacement bulb for the two lights already illuminating the foot wells?

I'm happy with the NEOx. I think they are 2 lumens each. Bright enough to see the guages but not so much glare at night. The LEDs dim with the dimmer, but not all that much. Maybe by half or less. I wouldn't want any brighter.

For some reason I thought the hvac only needed 3 so you'd have 2 extra there. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah it's 3, but the previous post said he ordered 5 (4 + an extra one) and I was just saying he'd have 2 extra bulbs since it doesn't require 4 of them
