Curious if anyone knows if these will work. They are the right number but look totally different than the stock ones.

Yes, pull the old bulbs out of those black plastic settings. After you put the new bulb in it, you just twist it back in

Taking delivery on my jeep sometime next week. It is a '98. Deep purple (almost looks blue).

I flipped through this thread and only seem to see Blue/Green/Red/White. Anyone know if I were to get purple for the footwells and the spedometers how it may come out? I did see someone who did a UV Blacklight but I have a feeling that may not be as bright as a regular LED, not to mention is that good for your vision?

I am open to all color scheme ideas.

Saw some complaints that the blue was too dark and I can only assume purple would be darker.

On installing the LED Bars for the footwells, I am curious as to how you ran power to them? I have done LED installs on my sedan but had help with the footwells.

We used individual LED's rather than bars, I'd like to swap them out for bars, as well as add them to my up coming jeep.

But I am unsure as to where to power them up, I am going to take a WAG and say somewhere in the fuse box?

Thanks guys

blue actually is brighter than the stock white trust me haha i just did the hvac and wow it is like MIB blue haha its a really cool color but purple however since the little icons are white would be a little bit dim not reaching the full color potential u shud do another color man since you do only use the lights at night and whatever will go good with that all blue or all green would be the best actually haha as for the shifter. do you mean the shift arrow light?the foot wells would be really cool in purple though but not too bright. you were saying that your jeep was purple almost blue i think ya u shud totally do purple footwells and eather blue or purple gauges. like i said i think blue would be the best but thats just my op.

Ordered and got all my red bulbs. I'll be switching them out on Sunday.

This will go another step further to the red/black look I'm after.

Thanks kickinkillin. I get what your saying, I think I may do the blue and purple footwells, if I can find a deep purple.

Still need to figure out how to wire up the led bars though.

As for tthe shifter, I ment to delete all that, my jeep is a manual so no pretty lights for me there.

If anyone finds a walk through or can just hint at where to power footwells pm me or post plz, thanks guys!

Steve,
go back to the first page in this thread; the OP put up a pic of his Invoice and a link to the website to order from. It's what I did & I'll have 'em in the mail Monday. So easy, a Caveman could do it! HTH.

Does anybody have a step by step to remove the Instrument Cluster? I've searched and had no luck. A link? Telling me just to remove every screw I see does me no good at all.

Pop off the defroster cover (held with clips) , remove the panel under the steering wheel (2 screws), remove the plastic around the gauge cluster (3 screws), remove the cluster (4 screws), unplug the 2 wiring harness' that are attached, swap bulbs, 1/4 turn to remove and install. Reverse to close it up.
