All of the bulbs are on, the problem is the bulbs don't provide enough light. The ones I tried replacing them with (the purple ones) were bright enough, just purple. I just ended up keeping the less bright bulbs. I do have the blue light for the shifter too. Looks good.

My Subaru obsessed friend mentioned that they often paint they're needles to contrast the dash lights, or match them. I was also toying around with the idea of using phosphorescent paint on the on clear needles...

I just modified mine. Didn't replace them, I just sanded (lightly) with fine grit sandpaper. The orange is on the back of a clear needle. Sanding scuffs it up so you can still see the needle when the lights are off too.

Just an idea also. I got a gage face cover off eBay for $20 because I liked the look better than just changing the bulbs and it matched the led's I put in the air vents.

WHOA. That's incredible... Do you have a link to where you bought that gauge cluster? How did you mount/power the AC vent lights?

I will try and find link tomo. Got the gauge faces off eBay for $20. The vent lights I got from streetglow.com. They are made specifically for lighting vents. Led discs exact size of a quarter with sticky backing. I wired them independently to a flat switch panel (4 switches) I got from autozone. Hard to describe the switch panel I got so ill take pics tomo and find the seller I got the gauge face from assuming they are still available.

If you look at my post a few up, I found the gauges on eBay. They are more expensive than 20, but they are there.

Just placed my order with superbrightleds. Got everything in cool white except the dome which is natural white. I hope I like it. I'm doing the dash, hvac, courtesy, and domes. Now that I've already placed the order I'm thinking I should have got the natural white courtesy as well to match the dome?

Yeah that's the right seller and gauges, but seems the price went up. Customer service was great and they were the first set of gauge overlays that actually fit over the needles and didn't require removing them. I have installed many for friends that claimed to do so but would not go on without removing the needles.

Not sure Bill. I emailed the seller but have not yet heard back from them. My jeeps a hardtop and the hardtop has it's own dome light. Was wondering if this 'complete' kit factored that in. Their drop down menu offered bulbs for vanity mirrors and glove box which this Jeep definitely does not have. Hoping this is not a p.i.t.a.

Does anyone have pics of a dash lit up with red l.e.d's?

I also did the automatic shifter blue, and the factory fog light switch in blue as well. I ended up getting the T3 and T4 neo wedge led bulbs on eBay for the factory switch...

I ended up changing the hvac control led's from the bright white to blue led's. Now instead of a kind of aqua blue the hvac is a truer blue like the rest of the center area is...

haha - vent lights.
That's brilliant
Useless, but brilliant.
And I'm definately going to copy that one.
Just wondering how you ran the wires - do they just come out of the vents?

And did you use something similar to this?
I found these adhesive LEDs on superbrightleds here..

When you get them in can you PM to let me know what comes in it? I would imagine that if they included a dome light bulb it was prob for the sound bar and not the hard top.

Wesboy I got the led for the ventlights from streetglow. They were round discs exactly like a quarter length, width, thickness and shape. The ones in the pic you showed I tried to use to light up some speaker pod grills but they stopped working after about 3 months. I used a coat hanger to feed the wires up behind the dash and into the vents. You cannot see any wires exposed that way and it looks clean.

Bill-
Just found out this kit only includes the footwell lights and BOTH dome lights. It does not include the dash lights. Pretty pissed because the photo on the website shows a large kit of at least a dozen led bulbs.
Epic Fail.

Thanks for the tip with the coat hanger

EDIT: Is this the ones you used?

Correct it was a pod but was about the thickness of a quarter. I'm sure those would work as well though. Here is a pic of the flat mount switch I wired to as well. Gives you 4 options to wire too. There is a main relay box you run the wires to which I have tucked behind the glove box. Would be a pain to get down to take a pic but the long green strip you see running parallel is what goes to it.
