TJ in NC

I live in NC. Between Asheville and Morganton. I cant find any places to do a little offroading... Or at least no where that a person would actually NEED 4x4. Anybody know of a good spot? Seems like everyone I have talked to so far says all the spots have either been closed or turned into developments.

We're going to Hurricane Creek on June 12th. It's about 45 mins from Asheville.

Brown Mountain is also another place. Doesn't look too exciting though. More for dirtbikes I think.

There's also Gulches ORV park in Laurens, SC. Less than 2 hrs from Asheville...I'd like to go there sometime.

Gulches Off*Road Vehicle Park

Stay tuned to the North Carolina threads section.
