Finished it up tonight and took Junior for a drive. Wow that was nice.
Going to put some miles on him before Moab just to make certain everything is okay.

Glad you got it worked out Nick. I'm sorry that you had to split your transfer case again.

It wasn't that bad. I have it down to a science.

Well...I climbed under Junior to check and make sure everything was nice and tight.

I broke two more weld nuts on the passenger side of the transfercase skid. I am glad I had to buy 10 weld nuts. Later tonight I will be removing skid again and grinding off the bad nuts and welding the new.

I pulled the skid, ground off the broken weld nuts and replaced. Bolted skid back up. Had trouble getting into 2wd, adj linkage and we are back in business.

Looks like mine, Nick. Also, you could've lifted the rear wheel higher but I don't blame you for stopping.

Yep I chickened out on the back.

The front had some left though. I had the front tire 32" off the ground.

Time to add a few more mods to Junior. After riding in Barbie at TB and seeing a Currie Antirock in action I was sold. I also am running the stock steering so I ordered the Currie Currectlync as well. Savvy has good prices and Gerald is $700 for both shipped.

The wife and kids are going to Moab in June so I need to get Junior ready.

I also noticed my front trackbar mount is in bad shape. Will have to fab up a new bracket. Pics to follow.

Well as it turned out the trackbar mount on the axle end was fine. No work there.

I installed the Antirock. I had to cut down the threaded rod 1 1/2" on each end and clean up the frame cross tube. The UHMW bushings are a tight fit.

Next install today was the Currectlync steering. As you can see from this pic the difference is substantial.

I took a few measurements and had to cut down the threads and the clamp 1" on the end that connects to the pitman arm. Other than that the install is pretty straight forward. I only have a 2.5" OME lift, someone with a taller lift would not have to cut them.

I really doubt I will break one of these tie-rods. Off to the tire shop for alignment.

I think I cut 3/4" off mine on each end, for an inch and a half total.

Man, that looks really, really nice. I need to get that and one of those "bolt in" cages ASAP.

I think those are going to be my two big purchases before Moab this year.

Be very careful the paradigm is fragile.

I really need to get Junior out of storage and get an alignment done. June will be here soon.
