TJ power locks install

I want to install power door locks for the doors and tailgate for when I have the hardtop and doors on. I will control it with the remote start lock/unlock feature/fob.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good durable kit/actuators? I've been doing lots of reading so think I know what I'm getting into for the install, but who knows once I actually start, lol

Any tips or ideas would be great,
Thanks

I know there are tons of kits, with actuators from $5 to $100+, but wanted any insight into a decent one, not some cheap crap that will make it only a year...

Cause the two seconds it takes to stick the key in and turn could be used for so many other things?

Just busting your chops, good luck with an install.

I have no problem using the key, just nice to have with the hardtop and doors on. Projects are fun

I ordered 2 of these Actuator, 2 of these Plug, and 2 Sockets that way I can easily disconnect for doors off.

Been running them for 5 years now with no issues, plus I had a set in my Super Duty before the Jeep for like 3 years with no issues. I didn't hook one up to the tailgate though. But it could be done I suppose.

I used a cheap 25.00 set off of ebay and they still work great after a year and 20, 000 miles ill see if I can find a box to take a pick. The only thing I ran into when installing was the back gait was tricky because it was very space limited but I did get it.

Those are pretty cool. I was looking for something like these. I knew someone had to make them since that's what my LJ tailgate uses. Thanks!

I've been looking at contacts like that Virus692, they would be handy when pulling the doors off

Yes, the tailgate doesn't look to be fun

Couldn't find the box but I did find leftovers the manufacturer is giordon. I was able to install it in all doors and it works with my alarm system. Just dont go any bigger with the acuators or they wont fit in the rear gate. I got mine in but it was tricky.
