TJ Rock Rails Help - (XRC)

Ok so I have been looking to get some of the Smittybilt XRC Rock Sliders.

Quadtratec has them.

The problem is they list the same picture for all of the models they offer.

There is with a step 76871

and without a step 76870

here is the link Smittybilt 76870 - Smittybilt XRC Rock Sliders in Textured Black for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

The problem is I want the tube on the side but I don't want a stupid step sticking out either. But do they consider the tube the step?

Anyone have these?

I looked around to a ton of different sites and they all just show with a tube. Maybe there is no difference. But I want to make sure before I order.

Thanks for the help!

Yes the tube is considered a step. Otherwise it will just be a flat piece of steel.

I have the ones with the tube, sorry crappy crackberry pic... Def. more protection, but the tubes sticking out makes it harder for my 5'wifey to get in, I thought she could use it as a step, but its even too high for her.

Here is a pic of them on my '06. As you've heard, the tube is the step.
