So now we have to break down into even more sub groups of Rubi TJ vs. regular TJ.

Great!

My first mod? I took the Rubicon stickers off the hood. Lots of built jeeps out there that are just as worthy of the trail.. I just don't like labels..

Why would anyone take the RUBICON sticker off of their hood?

Hmmm,,, I had a euro sedan years ago, only one little emblem identified it, and everyone knew what make and model that car was. Everyone knows its a jeep, and any one who knows jeeps knows its a rubicon.. I don't need or want labels on quality merchandise that I choose to buy.. Really, if you owned a Bentley would you put one of those stupid windshield stickers on that reads " BENTLEY " ?

Be sure to remove the "Jeep" on the side of your rig.

Must I put Rubicon stickers on my 99 Sahara? I have the axles and etc from 06 rubi. "but it's not a rubicon", anyone can argue that. Or about any other stickers.

It's what it is, some like stickers others don't. I even removed my Sahara stickers from my tub. I just prefer the look without the stickers. Doesn't make it no longer a sahara model. People even put the Rubi stickers on their 4 bangers and X's. It's just a sticker and their jeep. Doesn't hurt me what they do or don't, and no reason to get mad at it. I'll sleep just fine at night.

I am of the mindset that WE are all jeepers and what we have is just like our own hair cut everybody styles their own for themself. I own a Rubi and am proud but I don't look down (unless I pull up and am taller) on other guys with their choice of Jeeps I appreciate the camaraderie we all share because there is nothing like owning a Jeep be it a rubi sharah or x. The point is JEEPER for life!

Spedo help-2004 Rubi

35" wheels, 5:13 gears, spedo off by 7-10mph over actual speed. It's a 2004 TJ Rubicon, no spedo gear to change, Superchip says a programmer won't work, being told that the only thing I can do to get it right is to change out the reluctor wheel and I really do want to do all that is required to get that done. The dealership is clueless as to weather they can program it correctly and want to charge $125 just to try. I know my speed when driving and I know I can use a GPS. That doesn't concern me, what concerns me is the added mileage I'm putting on the odometer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix? Thanks much!

there are several products out there that can adjust the electrical signal and give you the proper speed. i use speedo healer. others are yellow box, dakota digital, etc, etc
