TJ SYE install questions

Did a 4inch lift a little whiles back. Getting ready to do the SYE kit and CV shaft. My questions are
1. when i pull the transfer case from the tranny will i loss fluid in my tranny? aka do i need a tranny plug?
2. Should i still use the transfer case drop down kit that came with my lift or eliminate it?
3.
I have to measure the shaft length once the transfer kit is installed to have the drive shaft made. If i end up doing the adjustable rear upper control arms in the future and eliminate the transfer case drop down kit will it effect the driveshaft length to the point were i would have to get a new one built.

Thanks in advance

No, if it leaks you have other problems. You can either pull the case and work on it out of the Jeep, or just leave the case in the Jeep while you do the SYE. Most people leave the TC in the Jeep to make things easier. I've done it both ways and neither is really easier/harder than the other.

No. The entire point of the SYE is so that you can ditch that TC drop and get your clearance back. You'll need adjustable upper and lower control arms to properly set your pinion angle again when you ditch the TC drop though. That said, it doesn't hurt to run the drop with the SYE if you haven't bought arms yet. Typically the arms are either installed prior to or in conjunction with the SYE.

No. This is where the bad advice of "you only need upper adjustable control arms" comes into play. You actually need both upper and lower arms. The upper and lower arms don't have separate functions; think about it. When you adjust the uppers or lowers, they both will effect the pinion angle and push/pull the axle a bit. Thus, if you need to extend your upper arms to correct your pinion angle after an SYE install, you then shorten your lowers so that your axle is pulled back into where it needs to be.

The reason just getting uppers works is because that small bit of length doesn't effect the driveshaft enough. The problem is that now your axle probably won't be centered at full bump, you may have clearance problems elsewhere, etc... Trust me, you will want to get both upper and lower adjustable arms to get things properly setup.
