TJ to LJ swap?????

I have a 2000 TJ and I Just bought a 2005 unlimited frame and tub to turn it in to a LJ. I have a few questions before I start the swap. Any info will help.

first will the steering gear box work on the newer frame I have serched and I know 97-02 are the same and 03-06 are will mine work on the 05 frame?

And next I know the fuel tank is different on the 03-06 can I cut and extend the lines on my 2000 or is there a way to use the fuel lines on the 05 frame with my 00 fuel tank?

I would love to do this as well. How much did athe lj frame and tub set you back?
Favorite quote, Thanks GoldenSahara00 "not many people do it. most of the guys who do do it, don't sit on the computer and talk/write about it, they do it then go wheel"

The difference is only in length.
As far as fuel lines they will be set up to work with what you have for a drivetrain so I would suggest lengthening.
Brake and electrical lines will also need to be extended.
What I am not sure about are the mounting points for various items.
Newer tj drive trains, skids, under good and interiors are different than older tjs so you may have issues there.
The steering box is also different, not sure about the other hydraulic components there an how much that will play into it.
Good luck.

I got the frame with fuel, brake lines and skid plate. The tub had all wiring, heater box, roll bar, sound bar, pedals, tail gate, and full doors that have damage to the upper window track. All for $1000 at a local jeep salvage yard i deal with alot. The tub is in great shape for going through the Joplin MO tornado It has a dent on driver reac corner about 3in around and another on the driver side cowl about the same size and a small dent behind the driver door all easy fixes with a spot weld dent puller.
