Question. I have been thinking about buying one but it says for only hardtop keeps. Do they make them for us soft top folks?

I think he is talking about the cover that you can pull over the cargo area behind the rear seat.

huh? you can't run a tonneau (deck cover) and a hard top at the same time.

I've got a soft top, hard top, deck cover, & safari....as long as you have the proper hardware there is no issue with either of them.

Note on the LJ's, the deck cover requires removing the rear seat belt housings...otherwise there isn't enough fabric and it will rip...unless Bestop fixed their design in last few years...

I have the 06LJ and the cover fit fine when I ran a hard top. Once the soft top frame was installed I couldn't use the tonneau unless I removed the entire frame first. The LJ soft top frame is to tight against the side of the tub.

LJ, with soft top folded down and deck cover (and a TJ SWB safari)

deck cover and soft top on at the same time.

^see how tight by the C-pillar? the rip is what happens when you install it with the seat belt housing in place...

Can you post a closer shot of the side of the LJ. I can't really tell by the pic but the frame seems to fit differently than mine.

I'd love to have one of the on my TJ could keep a jacket underneath during the day and not worry about it flying out! Where would I go about finding one?

best I can do till May/June when the soft top goes back on...

the top is an 06....found on craigslist. with the deck cover, the bars just sit on top, and you fold the top down, pull deck cover rear attachments off, stuffing the corners of the soft top below the deck cover. otherwise the corners flap too much for my liking. theres enough slack to make it work fine.

I'll have to try again. I would really love to be able to use it rather than those 500 bungee cords I have rigged up back there.
