To everyone with 285-75-16 I've got ????

I just got 5 new goodyear duratracks and had them put on my new kmc 16x8 wheels.

And OMG the weights that are on them.
I know there a big heavy tire, but dang, really?
The tire shop said they "0" out but now i got tire shimmy starting at 40.

I got the tires cus everyone praises them so much. And got 16s thinking i would get bigger brakes later.

I've got some "P" buckshots on 15s with a lot less weights.

So what im asking do ya'll with GYs have a lot of balance weights on.
Or did i get a crappy balance job and need to take them back?
Or did i get some bad tires? The shop does have a road force balancer that may help?

By same tire like the exact same one? those weights are on the same rim, opposite each other?

That's the worst one.
The others are not much better.

Had a buddy come by, he wanted to see them, and he thinks that the guy didn't know what he was doing.
He agreed, he hasn't seen nothing like that.

May want to have someone else balance it then,and/or move the tire on the rim. I cant tell how many ounces you have on there but my retreads are warrantied to take less than 6 ounces a pieceand all 4 needed less than that so your new tires should do better. Also, not a big fan of stick on weights myself, I prefer a static balance.

Take them back to the shop you had the work done and have them start over, all they have done is known as a static balance, pretty tough to get a good balance job that way, if they have a road force balancer have them use it, it checks for improper wheel and tire mounting, if your wheel will not accept clip on weights on the outside or if you do not want them to show you can still get a two plane static balance, the stickey weights go toward the front of the wheel, still on the inside, and clip on weghts can be used on the back lip of the wheel and and that may be as close to a dynamic balance you can get. What I see on your wheel is way to much weight in one spot, kinda of like a big chunck of mud. If by chance the road force shows you have a bad tire you should be able to return the tire and get another. Hope this helps.

I got the tires from tire rack. So that shop is probably pissed that I didn't buy from them. Still charged me 85 to mount them
I gave them a chance to sell me some tires but they had lost there mind if they think I was going to pay 375 plus shipping

Wow! Get them balanced somewhere else. Hopefully that's the issue.

They fix them. Its all good now.
Now don't have more than 10oz on any one of then.
There is one that looked out of round on the machine, but I can't feel it.
I may need to call and see if tire rack will send me another one.
