to trade or not to trade?

I have a 2001 with 2in bb, 32x11.50 MT's and a few other small upgrades like smittybuilt rear bumper, and upgraded cd player. It has about 70,000 miles on the automatic v6. The problem is that i dont like the color and i really want a 5 speed. I got a pretty good deal on it over a year ago, i paid $9,000 for it, my question is would it be a waste of time to sell mine and pick up maybe a 98 or 99 that is the color i want, with 5 speed and maybe a better lift tire combo? Just kind of kicking the idea around right now, i am curious to see what you guys think.

Few questions:

What color is yours
What color do you want?
Is your's paid for or are you making payments?

Other than being wrong color and auto.. anything really wrong with the jeep?

if it were me, i'd keep it and save up for a paint job. the problem with trading is that you may be trading your vehicle for someone elses problem. plus trades are rarely ever fair for both parties.

well by trade i actually meant i would sell mine and turn around and buy a different jeep. The good thing is that i would be in a situation where i dont have to sell so if i dont get the offer i need i can just keep mine. My thinking is that i dont want to put any more money in my jeep now because it is not exactly what i want anymore. If i could get $10,500 for mine, which looking at what is out there would not be too hard, i could turn around and buy an older one that is set up nice or even buy an 03 rubi. I would definetiley sell mine before i bought a new one.
