Tonneau cover question

Looking to get a deck lid cover but I'm confused. Most I'd quadratecs listings say "soft top only"

I don't have a soft top, just a hard top.. What is the difference in a deck lid? Why wouldn't it work for a hardtop model?

The cover requires the rear window soft top rod and hardware. It is the part that slides on to the bottom of the rear window to hold it in place on the rear of the Jeep. There are also to rear brackets (one on each side) that hold the window rod on.

You need 26,27, and 12

#12 part number 55176736AC Taigate bar
#26 part number 55176739AA Soft top tailgate clip left side
#27 paart number 55176738AA Soft top tailgate clip right side

Can you buy a cover that comes with the hardware?

I doubt it being able to get it with the cover. I do know you can buy all 3 pieces new as a set. All 3 parts can be bought used. Just make sure they are not rusted or bent. Make sure the weather striping that is on the tailgate bar is still in good condition. If you cannot find a good used one you're just going to have to purchase a new one.

You can run it without the rear tailgate bar with no issues. I ran it for 3 months last summer here in rainy Washington. Itll still cover the back just won't be tight.

Yes you can buy the whole setup, but like zeprider25 said, you don't necessarily need it. I haven't had the tailgate bar and retainers since I got it 3 years ago. Only issue is rain water, or mud water getting into your "trunk space". But if your not worried about that, then don't worry about it. Most likely the water will just pool on top in the middle
