Took My Son Jeeping For The First Time

Meet Henry my 10 month old son. I was doing something in my Jeep one day so I set him on the front seat and went back to what
i was doing. When I looked up he was at the wheel. We decided to do a little crawling in the Hills yesterday an take him out for his first time. He did great..... then he fell asleep. I guess Ive already bored him on this stuff. Next destination.... MOAB??

Merry Christmas All!!

Awesome! A future jeeper for sure. My 7 year old love my jeep, then the twins were born a year ago, and we don't all fit. I'm thinking about getting a trail rack for the wife to sit on...

That is awesome. I have four teenagers and an 8 yr old. My teenagers told me if I go out of town to take my jeep keys. They said they did not want to be respnsible for any damage they cause. Scary but honest. Might as well start your's off early!!!!!!

You might want to buy a tarp to cover her so she don't get wet. You know how mad they get... The rack will be as comfortable as she makes it, the power of positive thinking.

Thanks fellas. He's actually my first born and we might follow up with another soon but for now I want him to respect any and all outdoor activities I can possibly teach him starting as early as possible. I'm pretty fortunate he's not too bad....... yet.

As far as the wife on the roof..... That could make an intersting section on the mod thread for sure. Be sure to make a youtube video cuz I'd really like to see that.

You've gotta teach them young. My 7 year old daughter would rather play in the woods, hunt, fish, or ride in the Jeep than watch TV or play on an iPad. She loves her 22 rifle, and knows how to use it.

This is a weird twisted world full of kids and adults who would die if the grocery stores and fast food chains didn't exist. I feel sorry for them, but it's my main job as a father to make sure my three little girls know there is a better way to live.

I agree Randy Dix. After my son was born the first thing I bought him was a .22 lever action Henry. I told my wife it was for name sake. She didn't fuss much at all. Of course he wont get it unitl he can recite the hunting safety "commandments" and properly handle a single shot BB gun first. I can't wait to take him camping.

martinez, why sell the motorcycle? Just get both..... Unless you don't ride much of course. Is it dirt or street? I think I have more saddle time on my bike (street) than I do in my jeep. With the MPG my Jeep gets my bike is the only way I can save money for new parts. LOL

I remember my first time I went wheeling with my dad, I was about 6 his Jeep seemed huge back then.. As soon as I could drive I bought a jeep so I could go wheeling with him! Long story short that trip was one of my fondest memories (of my short experiences ) Oh and nice Jeep as well!

I was just thinking more about that "wife carrier rack", or we so we don't get int trouble, the "WCR". We'd have to add a wind screen so it doesn't mess up her hair and a personal mirror, and we can't forget the inverter so she can plug in the goodies.... =)

I'm on a "one toy at a time" limit. My bike is a bobbed cruiser. I don't really ride as much as I used to before the baby. Plus we are in the middle of remodeling our house. I figured the cash from the sale of the bike can pay for part of the jeep or mods.

Martinez, I feel ya brother. I have over 50K+ miles on my bike currently and I've had it for 3 years. I put 1K miles on it in the first week. When my son came along my timing on things changed conciderably. I can't just get up and ride to another state anymore like I used to. It's days like that Sunday that make it worth the pause in life though. I'm sure it's only gonna get better.

Congrats on your baby. I hope you get a nice set of wheels you can build up your way for a decent price and are able to share the experience with your baby too.

Sourmash: Right On! My son is only using baby talk right now but with as much as he does chat away, 3 yrs will certaily be an earfull. But as long as they are asking for the cool stuff we can offer them..... Keep the chatter coming.
