Topless Car Wash

I recently took my top off and want to wash my car, but don't want to put it back on just to wash it. How in the world can I wash it?

Are the doors still on? A little water on the inside wont hurt it. Just pay attention to where you are spraying, and just use a little more caution than you normally would. A little mist or sprinkle wont hurt anything. I just wouldnt recommend driving it through an auto carwash with the top off

Wash mine regularly with no top/doors. This past weekend, I washed her inside and out, just pulled the drain plugs. I have no carpet so that's not a concern. Just use your head, don't soak the dash or any electronics, don't leave any pooling water inside, and if you don't want wet-butt...don't hose down the seat.

It happens...people around here are usually pretty light-hearted and will sometimes have the tendency to joke (especially on topics like yours...no offense). Don't take it personally...we were ALL new to jeeps at some point. Now go wash the JEEP

Just joking around OP, just take your time washing and a little water on the inside won't hurt anything.

X2 to all of the above.

I hand wash or take it to one of the drive up hose/brush places. My tub is lined and my plugs are always out.

And definitely be careful around the electronics - rookie mistake - and I lost my 1st after market head unit that way...

The funny part is when you end up putting dirty doors/top back on a perfectly clean Jeep

Ive got a buddy that uses FW1 dry wash and cleaners on his during the topless months. He likes it pretty good. I have a soft top so it takes me about 5 minutes to put my top back up and windows in to do a quick wash.

I'll just stick to using a hose without a nozzle or a bucket

Agree with all of the above. I've washed mine a ton without doors and top. It's a piece of cake. By the way, if you remove the doors, watch the cowl covers when you remove the restraining strap on the door.

*if* I washed my Jeep: Pressure wash. Then Optimum No-Rinse.

Typically I just pressure wash underneath, steel bumpers/tire carrier, engine area, and nuke every thing with some flat black rustolium after some steel brushing then AMSOIL MPHD to prevent rust. I have pray paint flecks all over my paint but it's beige and looks like crap anyways, much more concerned with seeing fugly rust.

I take my jeep on the beach all the time topless. Every time I come back I wash it. I just use the hose and spray carefully when I'm done if a little spray got on the seats I just wipe them down. Because of the salt spray I always clean the seats anyway so the spray helps. I also hose down the underside to get the sand and salt off.

Put a dive mask on and drive it through the automatic car wash... make sure to open the drains holes before hand.
