Towing with a manual

So i ended up selling my auto 1997 4.0 (regret every second of it) so i decided that i want to get another wrangler, most likely a stick
I have a double jet ski trailer with two skis on it that weigh probably around 2400lbs (i know the towing capacity is 2000 lbs on the tj's)
my auto used to tow the skis pretty well, the ramp is only a mile or so from my house, but i was wondering how well the manual can tow that much weight?
will i burn out the clutch trying to do that? especially pulling the skis out of the water on the ramp

I would just make sure to buy a TJ with a 3.73 and not the 3.07 axle ratio. I towed my Waverunner with with my previous TJ when it still had a 5-speed & it did fine.

To make it easier pulling off the ramp loaded throw it in 4low and it will a lot more and a lower chance of slipping the clutch.
