I had a Death wobble in my TJ awhile back after doing a spacer lift. Long story short, I ended up removing the spacer lift, replaced my trackbar, tie rod ends, steering stabilizer, etc. I have it on small 215/75/15 tires right now, while I was diagnosing everything. I thought I was feeling slight vibration in the tires, and assumed I needed to go ahead and get ready for my new Dune Grappler 31's. Now, I put on a 1" spacer lift and got the death wobble back even form just that small spacer. WTF!! I adjusted the caster several times and no matter what, it would get DW. I took it back off (P.O'd beyond all belief) and noticed that I still had a vibration. At around 55mph, I all of a sudden got DW with no bumps or anything around. I took it home parked in the garage and had my wife move the steering for me. I found my trackbar moving almost 1/4" in either direction as she turned. I had already drilled the hole bigger, put in a bigger bolt, and tightened the living snot out of it. 130 ft/lbs. There is 0 movement of the bolt itself, it appears to be movement within the Bushing. This was a brand new OEM trackbar just 2 months ago. I wanted to replace it with an aftermarket with Poly bushings. I wanted to put a video on here so everyone could see what I do. I posted on Youtube under RedskinsFloridaFan. The video is titled Trackbar movement on 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now for my questions if anyone can help me.
1) Is this movement in my trackbar what is most likely causing my new DW or is this acceptable movement and I have another problem?
2) Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket trackbar for 0-2" of lift with poly bushings and/or thats adjustable?
