trade, sell or engine swap????I'm in hell

Well, I went to look at a JK and an 07 Liberty today. I didn't trade, just couldn't commit to a new 4 or 5 year note when I only have a couple years left on the current one. Trade value wasn't bad considering mine is 8 years old and in need of work. Another option is to sell it and try to find a deal on an XJ (always wanted to build a nice one), or do an engine swap to dump the worn out 4 banger and add a 6 with tranny. With a daily driver I don't think I would benefit from a V-8. I wonder if a 3.7 would fit. What to do, what to do???

3.7 isn't a real option, the liberty motor i'm assuming. the jk has the 3.8, but again not worth while. swapping your 4 banger out is gonna cost money and time, and you say it already needs work. you gotta weigh it out, i wouldn't buy a new one though. i love xj's, i use one for my daily driver, and for between 2 and 3 grand you get a really nice jeep.

if you wanna swap engines your best bet is get a donor vehicle, you'll need many parts, computer, wiring, trans, accessories and so on.
