Trade up for my YJ?

Should I sell my YJ for this. I could probably get $3000 for my YJ which has a 4inch lift and 31s. I just got my YJ like 3 months ago for really good deal. Should I try try to get this for $4000 and throw on some tube fenders to replace the rusted ones? Or is it a bad idea since it has a 2inch body lift and idk what the PO did to it and if there is any rust underneath the rocker panels.

Heres the link: http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/3580594161.html

PS: Please dont call and buy it

Could be a rubicon sticker. Might be a scam, but scammers rarely put a number up & if they do its a bogus area code. My guess is that it's eat up with rust.

Wow your right I just looked that up (got to excited) plus I thought it was weird that it has half doors for a rubicon. O well do you guys think it is still a decent buy even though it is not a rubicon?

I'd steer clear. The Rubi sticker on a 97 is just wrong among other things.

Buying a lifted/ modified Jeep is a gamble in my opinion. Buying one from a totally clueless person is even worse.

My $.02 if you're happy with the one you have, and know the one you have, why chance it.

exactly. Idk how prices near you are, but that is EXTREMELY cheap for around here. Even if that was legit, which I really don't think it is, its more then likely a money pit. Keep the YJ and put the money in that instead.

In my area jeeps are really expensive too. My predicament is that I bought my jeep as a toy since it was cheaper than a newish 4wheeler and can do a lot more. But mine has some ugly paint issues that I cant fix with out repainting the whole jeep. This one is newer and way better looking looking than mine which I like but idk if it is worth an extra $1000-$1500. Idk what to do?

Extremely cheap for the look and mileage. Plus "project vehicle" just sounds like you would run into issues with what they did to it. Nobody puts that much into a jeep to discard for cheap without it having way to many issues.

I bought a 99 jeep for pretty cheap and the jeep said Sahara on it and the PO even warned me it wasn't. The owner before him got him saying it was a Sahara.

I put about a grand fixing it up to drive normal. I love it now but I would never take a cheap deal again
