Trailer Question

I'm looking at the possibility of buying a trailer to drive my Jeep around on and need a little help with what kind to get. Firstly I have a 06 Tundra v8 1/2 ton that will be pulling my trailer and jeep. I have also decided that I would like this trailer to be able to do some landscaping with as I'm debating on starting to do a few lawns to add some extra money. So I guess Id need a trailer that is strong enough to pull my jeep occasionally, but not so beefy that when I was using it for landscaping duty that I was wasting gas pulling around some monster. Does anyone with trailer experience have any advice with what type of trailer would server both purposes? Ive been looking on craigslist locally but there are so many options its getting a little confusing.

thanks

Get yourself a tandem axle landscape trailer with 3500lb axles. you might have to fab some d ring mounts or solid tie down points for hauling the jeep but thats it. As long as the tires and axles are rated for the weight, and it has electric or surge brakes, it should be fine. As far as the ramp, or trailer deck go, you can always beef that up yourself if you need to.

I use a charger 18' dovetail. I used to drag race quite a bit and the trailer wad bought to pull the race car but has been used for many things and works very well for toting the Jeep to places that there is a possibility of breakag. I would suggest a dovetail for ease of loading landscaping equipment and also the Jeep. Trailer brakes in my opinion are a must, but the rest of the additions that drive the price up are not totally necessary.

Buy a 16 foot dove tail, because that is all you need. The 18 foot trailers are very hard to resale and too long for a jeep.
