Tranmission Squeak HELP!

For the last week, every time I push in my clutch petal i hear a loud squeak. It happens whenever I push the clutch pedal weather the jeep is running or turned off. I crawled under and listened while a buddy pushed the clutch. The noise is coming from inside the front bell housing of the transmission and you can actually feel the vibrations when the cluck is pushed.
Any thoughts of what is going on? Has anyone else had this happen and know how to fix it? The squeak only happens when you move the pedal pushing and releasing it.

My friend of mine who owns a honda civic had the same issue, took it to a tranny shop and all it needed was some grease, the squeak is gone. I know honda's and jeeps are different, but it's worth a shot

Mine is the same way, I just bought the jeep @ 64000 miles and had the squeak when it warms up. I had slight clutch chatter so I decided to change the clutch. I found my flywheel and pressure plate both blue with heat cracks. The internal springs in the disc were ready to fall out. I replaced the flywheel, presure plate, disc, throw out brg and pilot brg. I lubed everything with high temp grease. Guess what the squeak is still there. I am at a loss, there is no metal to metal surface in there that I did not lube. maybe it's my slave cylinder. I will follow this thread, I hope someone else has more to add to this than I do.

I've got a squeak/creak as well. It's more pronounced if i move the clutch slowly; almost silent if i step on it real quick. I *think* it's coming from inside the bell housing as well, but it's kind of hard to wedge my head under the Jeep and still get leverage on the clutch pedal.

It doesn't seem to be hurting anything at the moment, but i'd sure be interested if you found out what was causing yours.

I've got the same problem. I lubed everything I could reach and the squeak is still there. Oh well, just gotta turn up the radio!
