Tranny Heat and Interesting Sounds

Curious if anybody else's Jeep transmits significant amount of heat thru the floor board (specifically along the transmission and shifter area)? I realize there will be some heat transfer, however, recently driving in sandals (i know, not very Jeep-Manly since i wasn't at the beach) and had to pull foot off gas and turn ac on to floor vents to be able to continue driving. Then just this week starting to get interesting sounds coming from under jeep with engagement/disengagement of clutch also when releasing gas pedal. Cant be more specific other than say it sounds like something is loose. I'm concerned the clutch may be going out as I was unable to identify any loose components upon visual and manual inspection under the jeep.

Any thoughts, anybody ........ thank you in advance!!

Jerry!! you out there???

Bueller?? ................... Bueller?? Come on, somebody out there has got to have some input. Jeep seems to run pretty damn hot thru the interior. Floor/gas pedal area gets crazy hot! Anybody else get this, or any idea what could be causing this?

Mine always gets hot as the day gets hotter. I replaced my clutch at 98xxx miles cause of weird noises and it turns out it was good that i did....Throw out bearing was shot and thats were the noise was coming from. I also replaced the fluid in my tranny and added some tranny lucas to quiet the gear chattering.
