Tranny question

Anyone else drive their TJ like a 4-speed? I still need to regear so on the highway I just leave it in 4th. Can't see the point in using 5th gear when it just bogs the motor trying to maintain speed.

I start out in second and am in 5th at 60. I have a 4.0, 15" tires. Don' know the gear ratio in the diffs.

You will be fine, I can only use 5th on flat or downhill roads.

you need to regear to axles.

with a 4.0L & 5-speed:
33s = 4.56s
35s = 4.88s

I know I need to regear, thats in time to come. Just wondering if anyone else never used 5th much and it seems like I'm not alone.
