Trans Adapter Leak 99 TJ

Like the title says, I have a leak in the trans adapter in my 99 TJ 4.0, 32rh and np231 t-case.

I recently had my trans rebuilt by someone else and ever since I put it in, I've been leaking trans fluid. I crawled under the car today to try and diagnose the issue, and I think I figured it out, kind of. I'm pretty sure I have not added too much trans fluid, according to the dip stick.

Between the transfer case and the trans, is the Trans Adapter. On the bottom of the trans adapter, is a little hole, about 3/16 in size.

Is this hole supposed to be there or is it supposed to be sealed?

I didn't see any threads on this hole. I think someone referred to it as a "weep hole."

Should I just plug it up?

Yep that thread says it all, thanks for digging it up.

And definitely don't plug that hole ABSOLUTnie, replace the seal that is described in the thread Juninille 534 provided the link to.
