Trans swap anyone??

Got a 2000 TJ with 100k on a 32RH, really wanting to put a NV3550. Anyone want to do the opposite....we can trade trannys, it would be great!!

Also, anyone want to point me in the direction of a write up?

You could pm Wheelerbob, I know he was looking for a 32rh-nv350 swap.

I'm here, where are you located. I'm in maryland. Looking to do a swap over a long weekend with a local jeeper. My rig is a 2000 tj, 70,000 miles. Nv3550 new clutch, throw out bearing and flywheel about 2500 miles ago (last august) I have all the tools (air of course) and know how just need a willing donor and a second pair of hands. This would be a driveway swap. No garage Oh and welcome to the forum.

This is tempting, I really don't want a manual anymore. Do you have the tools to do the swap? And would tHe 32-rh bolt right up, any modifications that I would have to do? Feel free to PM I live in Hendersonville, but I have a house right outside of Clemson.

Is there a way to judge whether a nsg370 swap would be easier than the nv3550 swap? or vice versa? I really just want a manual trans, I dont really care which one. Mainly ease of swap is what im looking for. If there is such thing as ease of trans swap...

No problem I underestand. As for a 6 speed swap I know the skid plate is different so the trans mount may or may not work. If it is different you can not just change skids due to the 03-06 skids being different from the 97-02.. Also the computer may or may not work. For the lockup to work in his jeep he would need the computer out of yours, problem is they did not use the 32rh in 04 so the computer in your 2000 may or may not work in his 04 and vice versa. I have decided for my swap to eliminate as many problems as I can I need a 2000-2002 donor, that way I know all parts are good to go . Good luck in finding a swap buddy. If you change your mind and want to do a road trip let me know.

After doing more homework on the subject I'm really looking for an AX-15 now. I think i can find all the parts but what i really need is some direction/guidance. Has anyone come across a write up, or done this swap (32RH to ax15)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
