Background: Im in the process of removing the transfer case drop from the PO of my Jeep and removing the tcase linkage bracket drop.
I damaged one of the rubber nut-things(?) (hows that for technical?) There are 4 of them on the linkage bracket (that attaches the linkage to the underside of the jeep's body) and they are all pretty well dry-rotted and rusted, so I figure while its out, I'll replace them all. Problem is, nobody local seems to have them (I havent tried the dealer yet, as they are usually my last resort).
Anybody have a more technical term for them? Even better would be a part number, but I'll take what I can get.
Rubber nut-thing up close:
And as part of the bracket:
Second option would be to upgrade while its out. Ive run across two upgraded tcase linkages, one by Novak and one by TeraFlex. Any experience with either? Worth the cost over replacing the rubber things? Thanks in advance for any insight.
