Transfer. skid bolt question

I was going to remove the transfer drop and while removing the skid I found the bolts have centering heads on them how important is this I have replacement bolts but they are just standard grade 8 bolts without the centering flang, Can I just place a washer on the bolt and call it good.

Get conical washers that fit it, and use a lock washer on top of that as well

No problem, if you can't find any to fit it i'm sure you could get away with a nice thick washer, and lock washer, you can tighten it up until the washer starts to bend.. As long as the bolts can't back out you're set
