I have the B&M transmission oil cooler part #70268. In conjunction with the factory cooler in the radiator it keeps my tranny temps really low. B&M 70268 B&M SuperCooler Transmission Coolers

Mine is mounted in front of my A/C condenser.

Yup. Got one installed to the V in front of the radiator - welded a horizontal bar for the top of the cooler and another for the bottom, and then bolted the cooler in place - and it works fine. If I recall, I paid my friendly local shop to do it while they had the Jeep in for other work, and I don't think it cost more than $50 for the install. I had already purchased the cooler, a 26k GVWR stacked plate unit, and some good hose (not the crap that the cooler came with). If I had $125 in the whole project, I'd be surprised.

2011 Sport Unlimited. I had the B&M 70268 recently installed. Drove the Jeep to LA (lower Alabama) last week. On the freeway Outside air temperature 86 degrees at 75 MPH, transmission temps averaged 125 degrees. Highest temps I have seen so far in stop and go traffic 145 degrees. Haven't had a chance to get it on the beach at Galveston yet. Glad I had it installed.

Yes, mine did. I decided to install the aux tranny cooler, deeper tranny pan, radiator, fan clutch, water pump, t-stat, and t-stat housing. That took care of my over heating issue.

easy install with these? B&M tranny coolers.

are these sufficient by themselves? or is it important to install other helping cooling parts along with them

where do you guys have them mounted?

I installed a tranny cooler when I swapped my 5 speed out for an auto last summer. I also added the deep tranny pan with the extended pickup from mopar performance for added security.

Nope, my jeep had a standard transmission in it for the past 10 years. I just had an auto transmission put in a couple months back. When I had my auto transmission swapped in, I put the cooler in, just in case. So far, the hottest the tranny's been is 155 or so degrees. That was while I was on a very steep and difficult trail.

Here's the link for the one I installed in my current TJ... http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/keep...er-110676.html

I had a passive fanless transmission cooler in my previous TJ I purchased from Currie Enterprises - Custom Rearends, Jeep/Off-road Parts, Crate Rearends, 4x4 Rearends

I just put it in place of the well worn factory one. I also have one built into the radiator, not sure what that is rated at. The location for me is in front of the AC condensor, about middle of the grill.
