Auto or manual? How do you know you have a lot of heat coming out of the transmission anyway? Where is it coming out of?

If this is your first jeep and you bought it this winter then you're in for a surprise come summer time. My '98 will singe the hairs off my right leg in the summer......
The insulation on these things leaves a little to be desired....

Nobody said it did not get hot. It gets very hot, opcocrg said it would singe hairs off of his leg. The pic I sent says it will burn you & I think 530ktm was just yanking your chain.

In the summertime you cannot go barefooted in my Jeep

High heat from the transmission and Tcase area sounds completely normal to me.

We went wheelin' in Oklahoma a few summers back (carpet stayed home in the garage) and on the drive down my girlfriend at the time had her feet on the dash the whole way down......she thought the heat coming off the floor was going to melt her flip flops
