Trektop install

I was helping my buddy install his new Trektop that came in the mail. I know the instructions say to install it in a temp in the 70's, but it was a Christmas present and I'll be damned if we're going to sit there and stare at the box until spring rolls around. We are in Texas so we might have had to just wait a couple of weeks.

We got the quarter windows in fine, but there is still a good 3-4 inch gap between the zippers for the rear windows. We stopped for the night and decided we'd let the top stretch out a bit and then reapproach it tomorrow. If anyone has any helpful tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a great write-up on the Trektop install:

You could probably just lay the top out in the house for a day to get warmed up then install it in a warm garage.

Good luck, those things are tight when it's 100 degrees out. I installed mine when it was about 55 degrees and it was a bear. Here's a tip that worked for me-crank up the heater in the jeep and let er' run until it heats up the fabric. You still may not get it totally on until the outdoor temps heats up and really stretches the fabric. Awesome top.

We pulled it into the shop and stuck a space heater in the back.
