Have you checked your fuse box?

Does your dome light work? Is there a fuse in #4 in the fuse box behind the glove box?

Fuse #4 in the fuse box is not used as a fuse, and is on the ground side of the circuit. It is used as a door switch defeat for when the doors are removed and you don't want the lights to remain on. If not in place the circuit will not be grounded when the doors are opened. Here's a generic picture of that circuit.

Pop out the plungers in the door jamb, the wire harness has probably been disconnected

Cool! You can unplug the harness in the doorjambs for a more blacked-out kind of thing; you lose the courtesy lights at start-up and shut-down. Pulling the fuse/bypass in the glovebox preserves the courtesy light function.
