Troubleshooting question - 2000 Wrangler 4.0

Last night, I pulled away from a stop sign and the thing stalled. First time that's ever happened. Dead in the water, no sputter, no buck, no hint it was coming. I coasted to the curb, dropped it in neutral (it's auto) and it started right up again. No fuss, no fury.

I had half-a-tank of gas, car was well warmed-up, and it was a sharp right downhill turn.

Any idea what might have done this ?

I plan to spend some time under the hood twiddling wires today.
