Santa brought me some truck lites for my TJ this year and once I installed them they were working fine going from low/high beams. After awhile they became stuck on high beam and I could not get them out. Anyone know what could be causing this? Shouldn't need any kind of adapters or anything am I right? Thanks

Have you verified it's not the multi function switch?
That's what mine was, high beams sticking on.

Use a test light or a volt meter to test at the plug. That will tell you if it the headlight or the switch.

If they both do it, probably not the truck lites.

Shark_13 yes they are both doing it. Went for test drive earlier and got a little flickering also. Now that I think about it could be multifunction switch, my blinkers have not been working also just been too busy to fool around with anything lately. Tomorrow is the day to get this fixed!

I just went through this on a 99 XJ. I replaced the M/F switch, fog light switch, headlight switch, fog light harness, checked and verified all fuses good with a DVOM, checked all relays, built a relay harness, and the only way I could stop the brights from staying on after I switched from low to high beam and back to low was to pull the relay for the fog lights.

There is still a problem that I will need to find at some point, but I've thrown enough money and time at this and it does work perfectly at this point so it will have to do until I have some more time.

If yours is like this one, the flicker was present before but due to the nature of incandescent bulbs not being instant on and off like LEDs are, you didn't notice it. I found that to be true when I hooked up the DVOM to the head light plugs and could watch the voltage vary.

The relay harness because it was triggered by the head light plugs, produced the same results as just the LED lights by themselves, which showed up as flickering due to the relays being turned off and on rapidly only now I could hear it.

Turning the headlight switch on and off. It's got to be something to do with the multi-function switch. My 99 shows absolutely no sign of doing this, and I've never had an issue switching back and forth from high to low beam.

It sounds as if there is some kind of feedback loop through the switch that will eventually turn the high beams on.

Has anyone contacted Truck-Lite about this? Or, for that matter, Jeep?

Bumping this up to see if this problem has occurred for anybody who installed the Truck Lites recently? I installed mine tonight, backed out of the garage to aim them properly and my wife switched back and forth from low to high 3 or 4 times and then they stuck on high. I got them to reset back to low by unplugging both plugs and switching the lights back on with nothing plugged in. After, I didn't try the high beams again. I'd be very frustrated if my expensive new lights wouldn't allow me to use the high beams without popping my hood and unplugging them when I was done. Any thoughts are appreciated.
