Trunk for a LJ ?

I was looking at the Bestop Instatrunk but they don't make them for the LJ. The say it will fit the LJ but it is made for the TJ and leaves a large gap between the trunk and the seat.

Thought about buying a TJ Instatrunk then cutting it in half and expanding it to fit the LJ but not sure I want to take on that project if I can find something already made for it.

Anyone know of a trunk made to fit the LJ ?

Here is a pic of the frame. Just square tubing. I painted the frame and covered it with alum. Next I bolted it in. Everything inside is secure when my tailgate is locked. I know you want a pic of the finished product, but I don't have one with me. I can post one up later...sorry

Im actually surprised there are not more options available.....the bestop is too small.I carry 3 bags of gear and other misc stuff and it wont come close to fitting. You can use steel tubing with a aluminum sheet cover as DTM above did, I have seen that and it looks and works well...

I like the idea of these but they are all too long/big to be used with the rear seat.....

Thanks for the posts but I don't see one of these that is made SPECIFICALLY for the LJ as was the subject of the post as well as the request of the OP.......I haven't found anything either but maybe I missed one that meets the bill.

Here it is.... got the idea from another forum member and them made some small changes.
About $100 later for the metal and it bent and cut.... some rattle can paint and some foam edging.

That is just sweet. Better than anything online and a nice clean simple install. Well done. Make me one?
