Trying to learn my bAby

I've got a 2000 tj 4 banger auto... So anyway changed the spark plugs recently and blew one right out of the head... Trying to figure out if I have distributor issues or just a loose plug because the engine has a bit of a shudder and struggles to idle.

Also my oil pressure runs high (50ish) and my fuel gauge is busted...

Seeing as I'm just now getting up to tinkering any advice would be appreciated!

Also, pretty sure I need to do a radiator flush... Liquid looks like poo water.

On the oil my buddy told me to drop a quart put some tran fluid in their and run it a few times and then swap out all the oil... Any thoughts

1.5 ounces of Seafoam per quart of oil will clean things out nicely! Run it for a few days and that'll clean up the junk in your oil system!

By the way, most motor oils contain detergents and adding ATF to your engine oil would not be a good thing as they are meant for entirely different things!

That said, how do you know your oil pressure is high? If you are going by the dash gauge connected to the standard oil pressure sending unit then all you are really seeing is that there is pressure, not what that pressure is. For that you would need a sending unit with an oil tube and an after-market gauge.

The fuel gauge issue is probably a bad sending unit and you would need to get in there and replace it.

Its not about keeping the atf in there for very long. I know oil has detergent in it but obviously its not enough as its still leaving crap behind right

I was hoping to avoid that. However, is there anything else I should replace once I get the fuel tank off?
