I was in a wreck in dec. Some girl ran a stop sight and hit my side. The insurance said it was totaled. I want to fix her up. I had it looked at and they said it had no frame damage just cosmetic. Can this be fixed? If yes, how can it be fixed?
I am not a body guy by no means. I can barely use a rattle can. I would think it's possible. You can buy new tub. My buddy replaced his it was a chore but he had time to do it and didn't need his jeep daily. I will watch this thread and see what the pros have to say. Mine is an 06 I would not get rid of it for nothing.
The insurance called it "totaled" because the cost to repair the damage is greater than the value of the vehicle. I agree with the insurance.
anything can be fixed....just depends how much money you want to throw at it. If you're willing to pay a good body man to do the work, yes it can be fixed. Another alternative is to do a tub swap, install new fenders, new doors, etc. The 2nd option is likely the cheapest, especially if you have a vehicle lift & tools and can do most of the work yourself.
