i dont think you will get any cheaper than smittybuilt. even OEM fenders are expensive. I dont know how much MCE flatty fenders are but i think they are more than the smittybuilt.

I don't have them (yet), but the only fenders I'll put on my Jeep are MCEs. The reasons are that they will bend and not break if I hit a tree or a rock. My tires stick out pretty far with my 3-3/16 back-spaced wheels and I still managed to mess up a stock rear fender just last week. Had that been a tube fender I would have had more than scratches on plastic. I would have pushed the tube into the tub for a pretty nasty battle wound. I hope MCE starts making matching rears soon and that is the only reason I've been holding out on getting them.

Don't let that stop you! I am still waiting for rear flares. I just trimmed my stock rear flares to match the lip of the MCE Flatties for now.

I could not wait any longer after my stock front fenders finally gave up the fight. I have also tested the "bend-and-return-to-shape" feature. Works great.

The lip that the stock fender flares attach to gets cut off for the MCE fenders. You will gain that much clearance.

These fenders are not tube fenders, but I still really like them after over a year on the Jeep.
