Tube Fenders

I'm thinking about getting some tube fenders for my jeep, any recommendations on good brands? I've heard Smittybilt ones are crap, but that's about it. I'd prefer ones with around 3" of flare, and I don't care whether it's full replacement fenders or ones where I have to cut the old fenders.

I won't own anything that says "Smittybilt" personally, but check out the Genrights. That's what I'm getting this winter. Here's a link.........

GenRight Tube Fender for Jeep TJ or LJ with 3" flares

Yeah, but HOLY CRAP are they are expensive. Even with no flares and bare metal, they're $600. With flares and powdercoated, thats like $1000, and, unfortunately, I'm not made of money.

Those look pretty good too. It says it keeps the inner fender well, so I won't have to get an aftermarket intake, right?

That's correct. The best part is that you get the flare without it sticking WAY out. I hate tube fenders that have flares that stick way out. They just look stupid to me.

Oh yeah, quick question, would it be easier to use a sawzall or an angle grinder to cut the fenders?

It may be a combination of Sawzall, angle grinder, and jigsaw that you'll need.

I have the genrights with the 4" flare. If I was to do it again I'd go no flare or 6".They don't do much. I do like the way they look. Easy to install with an angle grinder ,drill, and a bfh.

Are yours the new G3 style? Those are the ones I'm getting.
