Tuffy center console insert install review and initial impression

For a bit of history, my last jeep had a nack for being burglarized, so i picked up a Tuffy subwoofer console (full replacement console). That thing served me well. It sold me on their products after one lovely night a thief broke into my Jeep. He popped open the OEM glovebox but was unable to get into the Tuffy box. That night sold me on the merits of a good lockbox.

Fast forward to this weekend. I finally had the time to install the console liner in the Jeep. I had some concerns on the design of the lid, the latch area looked weak to me. After seeing it all together I no longer have those concerns. It looks like every part of the latch actually put each other in a bind if someone were to try to pry the box open. I do not believe this box is as tough as their full standalone box, however I believe it will slow people down sufficiently to keep all but the Professional out.

This install was by far the least troublesome modification I've done to any vehicle. There were zero unexpected problems/delays. The bolt holes all lined up properly, and everything went smooth as glass. I can't believe how easy it was.

Grade 8 bolts are included for the most important high stress locations.
Here's some after pics.

A quick thank you to Ryan @ Extreme Terrain (PM him for cheapest price I've seen). And of course Thank you to Tuffy for making this lockbox in the great ol US of A
