Question Two Issues, Please HELP!!!

On my 98 Wrangler Sport I have all stock,

1st ~ I went to get new tires and the dude said you can slip these on for just a few bucks more. 10.5" wide. But I get a rub when I turn hard. What do I need to do? I do not want to lift, I like the full wheel well look for now.

2nd ~ My reverse lights do not work any more. Checked and changed bulbs.

For the first one you should be able to fix with a washer on the steering stops as for the second check the grounds I'm sure some one will chime in

On the Reverse lights not working, the Reverse light switch is on the transmission. On a manual, it's on the passenger side and has an electrical connection. On an automatic, it's part of the NSS (neutral safety switch) assembly that should be on the driver's side rear.

Check your fuses located behind the glove compartment door too, one may have popped.

I don't remember how it works on an automatic, but if you have a manual transmission, there is reverse switch on the side that kicks the lights on when you put it in reverse.

Reverse light adjustment

Hi,
I have a Wrangler TJ '99 automatic. The one with the '60s transmission design that runs great and should last forever.
The reverse light only turns on when the gear lever is near the P position (not exactly in P but towards it from R). How can I adjust it? I have the Haynes book, but there is isn't a photo or diagram and don't want to screw up the transmission (i believe it is in it?). Do you have a photo of what I ned to adjust? Any help would be appreciated!
Pete

Cool Hmmm

Sorry Dude, I haven't had a chance to jack mine up to check the reverse lights out. Too much to do around the house and at work. I have the same trans as you. I might try and get it done this weekend and let you know.
