Two questions for those who have done a Dana HP30 swap?

I plan on installing a 4" Clayton lift this fall but for now my 99 TJ is completely stock other than 31" tires.
Can I swap a HP30 into my stock height TJ or will the front driveshaft be to long?
Also, the HP30 does not have provisions (cam bolt at LCA mount) to adjust caster. Will I have a problem with the alignment until I get the lift installed with adjustable CA's?
I am going with an 8.8 in the rear and I just found a HP30 that already has a lunchbox locker and 4.56 gears for a good price.

You cant adjust your caster on the axle that's under your jeep either. So I doubt that part of your alignment will be an issue. I cant answer your question on the DS length though.

IIRC, some XJ's had issues with the driveshaft hitting the UCA's...only on HP's....problem solved in 2000 w/ LP's.
I've fully stuffed my HPD30 with the driveshaft attached...its tight, and i've got 1" bumpstop extensions. There isn't much room, but I think a HP might fit...definitely check full bump with the springs out to make sure.
