You have to have some sort of wheel backspacing. If you had no back spacing your wheels would stick waaaaaay outside the body. They are most likely either 3.75", 4.00" or 4.25". Those are the most common in terms of back spacing for the Jeep TJ.

Depends on the wheel you want to use... 15X10 with a -44mm offset on mine with the 4"lift.

We still need to know the backspacing of your current wheel. Without that we can't tell you if you need wheel spacers or not.

Spacers have nothing to do with the actual wheels backspacing. The backspacing on a wheel is the distance of the flat mounting surface of the wheel from the backside lip of the rim. To measure lay a flat edge across the backside of the wheel from lip to lip and measure the distance from the flat edge down to the mounting surface. This is your backspacing.

i did alot of research on this on this board and if you have a 4" lift with 5.5 backspacing (stock rim) you cant run 33x12.5x15 without new rims or spacers

i ran 10.5 with no issues

This is true. The tire will rub on the back and eat the tire up before you get home from the tire place. Now you can get away with a 33x10.5x15 made by BFG if you want.
