I think its all the same dash units, just that manuals are wired for the shift light. But if you know how to drive a stick, you should know when to shift anyway. Those lights are annoying.

Especially when you're driving with 30 miles at 1200rpm on 4th gear and the light keeps flickering for you to shift to 5th and then be down to 900-1000 rpm.. wtf

My left turn signal turns on, doesn't blink, but is constantly on, sometimes when I am breaking. Tis odd, but not annoying enough for me to go chasing wires.

lol - I noticed yesterday after installing the sye that the left turn arrow doesn't blink on my dash anymore. I'll look and see if something came loose.

They can stick sometimes. You just have to tap the lever and it should stop until the next time. I don't think there is anything that can be done about it. My last TJ did it too.

kg4kpg same here. My emergencies are also dead. Cant you WD 40 that pos?

As that shift light why is it even there? I like how when you step on it, it goes away and then comes on right before the redline but besides that its just junk.

Yeah, I know, I do. Its funny how little of a touch it takes to turn off. I can breath on it, and it turns off lol. It is quite strange.

this is a very common problem with the turn signal switch. the problem is that the switch it's self actually wears out and doesn't return the turning selector switch to "center". the only way to correctly fix this is to change the turning selector/hazard switch.

it's not hard to do and you can buy a new switch unit for under $50 ,,takes about five to ten minutes to change.

pm me if ya'll have any Question on how to do this.

Mine doesn't have a shift light. I'm only sad cause I feel left out, but if mine had it, I would disable it anyway.

My right turn signal blinks really fast (like it's missing a bulb) sometimes, but it's intermittent. It's really annoying.

Coming on in 5th is normal. It simply doesn't know how many gears you have.

if i remember right that shift light is only there to let you know if you shift now you are getting the best mpg for how you are driving at that time.
